Getting All Kinds of Muddy - Part 2

So we did the Spartan Race.  I'm not sure why, but we did.  Josh, Jim and I joined Whitney, Luke and Zac Larsen...it was a Jones vs. Larsen thing...a dude-wife-brother vs. dude-wife-brother thing.  The race started out fun and then it just got...old.  It got old hiking slowly up singletrack trails behind hot, dirty and smelly people.  There was way too much hiking up and down a mountain and not nearly enough fun obstacles.  The best thing I can say about it is that it was a Saturday that I got to spend with my husband and some other fun people.

Funny story, the girls were with a babysitter all day.  If they are left that long, its usually with my parents.  When we returned, Josie had pooped her pants, the toilet had flooded, and they had pulled down one of my curtains.  So we were muddy and exhausted and we got to go around the house putting out fires.

I think it was probably my last obstacle race.  The pictures below sort of illustrate how much "fun" this was.
